Our Master of Ceremonies for the evening, President Nominee Ivan Rabinowitz, had us in stitches with his continuous perfect English choice of words and wordplay Aglaea and PP Mike Demertzis, seated next to Chana and PP Gus Borok Johan Schneider, responsible for all the scrumptious food and catering throughout the Conference, seated next to the Registrar (for once getting away from the Registration office) Judy Warren and Jenny Els Grant Adam (on the left) and President Cheryl's "Handy Andy", Nic Jute (on the right) ... catching some forty winks (-: PAG Willem Punt and Anns' President Martie Punt DG Eben and Bessie, together with Dareth and PP Carl Bernardi DG Eben presenting a Commitment to Service award, in recognition of more than 25 years of dedicated Rotary membership where RI recognizes with deep appreciation outstanding efforts and commitment to service, were to PP Bernard de Winter Johan Schneider receiving a certificate merit In appreciation of Dedicated Service to the District , mainly for outstanding catering and facilities throughout the Conference The Keith & Helen McCusker Foundation Project Trophy (best Rotary Foundation project in District) awarded to PDG Cliff and Elsje Peake for their involvement in the very successful Wheelchair Project Jenny Els receiving a Paul Harris Fellowship from DG Eben All up standing, drinking a toast to the Rotary Foundation DG Eben, giving recognition to Bessie for all her support during his year as DG The highlight of the evening: the induction of DGE Maria Luisa Natividade Al the best for the next Rotary year, DG Maria Luisa ... all together we will apply "Service above self"
