Unfortunately, due to suffering from Laringitis, DG Eben had to take over this responsibility from him. DG Eben, with our entertainer for the evening, Billy Brandt Lin Bergman, who looked after the decorations for the evening, with DG Eben, Dareth Bernardi and DG Ann Bessie The RIPPR, PDG Patrick A Good, Lorraine Good, DG Ann Bessie and DG Eben PDG Trevor Long, the Regional Rotary Foundation Chairman (Africa South) Brenda van der Merwe, receiving recognition for her contribution in lighting up Danville children's lives during the festive season. The Ann's were requested to identify extraordinary women for the work they do in their communities, and the Inner Wheelers from Waterkloof Rotary Club nominated Brenda van der Merwe from Danville, Pretoria. From 6-24 December she decorated her home with Xmas lights (11500 children each received a present & sweet parcel; 400 snr. citizens received a food parcel) through her own contacts, since it was not a registered charity project. DG Eben sincerely thanked PDG Ann Vida Eksteen for a superb performance during our Foundation dinner. ... and then DG Eben and Bessie opening the dance floor ... to end off a most succesful Foundation Dinner!
